Forty Fifty Sixty
Ten years ago I turned forty, and now at fifty, I’m choosing the habits that really matter.
Most plans fail because they’re built for a version of your week that doesn’t exist. This is how I’m trying to do it differently.
Small habits
Ten or fifteen minutes, a few times a week. Small enough to survive a busy diary.
Big milestones
A trip, a skill, something finished. The thing the habits are for.
Quarterly review
Every three months, an honest look: keep it, change it or drop it.
What I've been up to recently

Hobbies & Skills
Whether it's listening to music, learning a language, mixing cocktails, trying to surf, or taking up padel.
Having hobbies, and developing new skills is really good for you.

Health & Fitness
We all need to find ways to generate energy, develop strength, sleep well and generally looking after ourselves.
I'm all in to finding ways to do that without all the hype.

Experiences & Travel
I've been really poor at planning and organising days out, holidays, meals and treats.I'm trying to change that without dropping any of the other balls that we need to balance in a busy family life.
